Dina Papacostas (aka: Papadopolous) hails from a small village in Greece, in which she was crowned the National Spelling Bee Champion.  This led to her being offered the lead role in "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" which she turned down to pursue Olympic Curling.  After her failed attempt at Curling, she decided that singing would be a better option, thus she obtained permission by the Greek Federation of Baklava to be transferred to the US and A to train as a singer/entertainer.  Since then, she has been a respected and talented singer her entire life. She began performing and modeling in pageants at the young age of 3, impressing audiences at talent showcases in places such as the Poconos and Niagara Falls. After landing the leading role of Catherine in “Pippin”, Dina continued to develop her talents and was named Connecticut’s 1998 National Singing Championship and traveled to Nashville, where the final competition was hosted by Dick Clark. In 1999, she performed at the world famous Apollo Theater during Amateur Night, impressing the local crowd with her rendition of Deborah Cox’s “Nobody Supposed to Be Here”. She landed third place amongst all the contestants.  Before achieving her life long dream to be the singer of ZOOM, Dina rocked out with bands all over the Northeast, such as Fine Grind, Lick and Bad Kitty.  We asked Dina what is the craziest thing she has ever done, and her reply was: "listen to anything Paul Pedro has to say!"  Dina's favorite drink is Bacardi and Diet and you will see her pounding them down while rocking with ZOOM!  Be sure to catch Dina and ZOOM in a town near you!
